Palm Jumeirah Hotels with a Private Beach

For a Palm Jumeirah hotel with its own beach, look first at Palm West Beach, where voco Dubai The Palm, Adagio Premium The Palm, Mileo Hotel The Palm and Tumbi Hotel line the sand facing the Dubai Marina towers, then at Andaz Dubai The Palm, which has a private beach on the eastern side of the trunk. The nine hotels on this page average 8.6 out of 10 across 11,105 guest reviews, but a private beach does not mean the same thing at each. At The St. Regis and Cheval Maison, the sea is a beach club away, and at voco the guest beach sits across the public promenade. No metro reaches the Palm, so a beach you can walk to from the lobby is worth more here than anywhere else in Dubai.

Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island off the Dubai coast: a trunk lined with apartment towers and hotels, fronds of villas and an outer crescent. Its western shore, Palm West Beach, is a promenade of beach clubs and cafés facing the Marina skyline, while the middle of the trunk revolves around Nakheel Mall and The View at the Palm.

Which Palm beach are you actually booking?

On the Palm, the word beach covers three different set-ups: sand reserved for a hotel's guests, a beach club you walk or are driven to, and the public West Beach promenade that anyone can use. Knowing which one you are booking decides whether your mornings start in the sea or in a taxi. The longest hotel-owned beaches on the Palm are out on the crescent, a long drive from everything else; the hotels on this page sit on the trunk and West Beach, where the sand is shorter or shared, but the mall, the cafés and the monorail are on foot.

Palm West Beach runs about 1.6 km along the western edge of the trunk, facing the Dubai Marina skyline, and four hotels on this page sit on it. voco Dubai The Palm, IHG's first hotel on the Palm, opened in March 2023 with 138 rooms; its guest beach lies across the public promenade, and its rooftop pool, Frenia, looks out at Ain Dubai. Adagio Premium The Palm has 163 serviced apartments, 94 studios and 69 one-bedrooms, all with kitchens, and lends bikes for the promenade. After Andaz, it has the most reviews here: 2,588, for 8.7.

Mileo Hotel The Palm, a Greek-inspired newcomer on West Beach, has the best score of the nine, 9.3 from 417 reviews, with 176 rooms and suites up to two-bedroom apartments, a kids' club and a rooftop infinity pool. Tumbi Hotel Dubai The Palm, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton address on the same stretch, has 171 rooms and a rooftop infinity pool facing the sunset; I could not confirm sunbeds reserved for its guests, so count on the public beach. The Luxury Studio Palm Jumeirah Infinity Pool and Beach is a private rental with one review, scored 7: too little evidence to recommend it.

Andaz Dubai The Palm, by Hyatt, opened in late 2019 on the eastern side of the trunk, opposite Nakheel Mall and The View at the Palm. It has its own private beach with a lagoon-style pool at the edge of the sand, plus an adults-only cabana pool on the 14th floor beside the Ora Spa, an escape when school holidays fill the main pool. It is the most reviewed hotel here: 3,340 reviews, 8.5. Andaz Family Suites by Hyatt, sold on some sites as Andaz Dubai The Palm Residences, has 116 apartments with kitchens and the same 8.5, from 707 reviews.

The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm (9.2 from 1,380 reviews) occupies the Palm Tower above Nakheel Mall, so there is no sand at its door. Guests aged 21 and over use KYMA Beach Club on West Beach, with a complimentary transfer; under-21s are admitted only for dinner from 7 pm. Cheval Maison - The Palm, in the Golden Mile complex, scores 9.1 from 701 reviews, but its beach is a day pass at Riva Beach Club, charged as an extra, a seven-minute walk away. Both are good Palm bases, not barefoot beach hotels.

Transport matters more than the brand here. No metro line reaches the Palm. The Palm Monorail runs from Palm Gateway, linked by footbridge to the Palm Jumeirah tram stop, to Atlantis Aquaventure, with stops at Al Ittihad Park, linked directly to the Golden Mile Galleria and the closest to West Beach, and at the mall below the Palm Tower. Closed for station maintenance in January 2026, it reopened in July 2026. From November to March, the West Beach hotels let you swim, eat and walk without a car; from June to September, midday on the sand is hard work and a shaded pool counts for more.

A traveler's take

For a beach holiday on the Palm without a taxi every morning, I would book on West Beach: Mileo Hotel The Palm for families, for its kids' club and apartment suites, or Adagio Premium The Palm if a full kitchen matters more than a reserved sunbed. Andaz Dubai The Palm is my pick for couples who want the hotel's own sand plus an adults-only pool to retreat to. I would not book The St. Regis with anyone under 21 if the beach is the point: they cannot use its beach club by day. Cheval Maison suits long stays where an occasional paid beach pass is enough. And the Palm is the wrong base for anyone who wants the souks, the creek and Al Fahidi on foot: Deira is a long drive away.

Rooftop pool, private beach, and spa on Palm Jumeirah

Why guests love it

Mileo Hotel The Palm is a five-star choice for families who want a private beach and a calm, grown-up atmosphere. It lists family rooms, a rooftop pool, a spa with sauna, a fitness centre, a restaurant, a bar and an airport shuttle. Children are welcome rather than catered to, since no kids' club is listed, so it suits families with older children or those who prefer to organise their own days around the beach and the pool.

The first 18 floors of The Palm Tower, with the monorail and a mall at its base

Why guests love it

The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm welcomes children of any age, but its strengths lean adult. The beach that comes with the hotel, Kyma Beach on Palm West Beach, is reserved for guests over 21, which rules it out for most family trips. What children do get is the tower itself: the monorail station at the base, Palm Jumeirah Mall for a hot afternoon, and The View at The Palm on the 52nd floor. Families with younger children would find more on the crescent, where resorts sit on their own beaches and Aquaventure is a monorail ride away. For couples or a family with adult children, the setting and the service make sense.

Family-friendly aparthotel with private beach, spa, and waterpark access

Why guests love it

Cheval Maison The Palm suits families who want a kitchen and a beach in the same stay. The aparthotel lists family rooms with fully equipped kitchens, a rooftop pool, a private beach, a spa and waterpark access, so a week can be organised around the sand in the morning, the pool at sunset and simple meals in your own room. I would still check the waterpark arrangement with the hotel, since access terms change with the season.

voco Dubai The Palm by IHG is a four-star beachfront hotel on Palm Jumeirah with a private beach and a rooftop pool. Spa and wellness facilities are extensive, and the restaurant, bar and coffee shop mean you can eat in. Family rooms are available, and some rooms have balconies. I would recommend it to families, couples and business travellers who want beach access on the Palm. Rated 9.0 from over 1,600 reviews.

Beachfront aparthotel with private beach, family rooms, and rooftop pool

Why guests love it

Adagio Premium The Palm is an aparthotel on Palm Jumeirah with direct beachfront access and a private beach. Family rooms come with a kitchenette and a balcony, which suits longer stays and meals at your own pace. The rooftop swimming pool, the spa and wellness centre, the sauna and the fitness centre cover the rest, and the restaurant offers varied dining. An 8.7 rating from nearly 2,600 guests backs it.

Chic beachfront luxury with multiple pools and a private beach on Palm Jumeirah

Why guests love it

Andaz Dubai The Palm, by Hyatt, is a beachfront five-star on Palm Jumeirah with a private beach, so families can step from the room to the sand. There is an outdoor infinity pool for everyone and an adults-only rooftop pool for parents who want quiet. Rooms are chic and contemporary with free Wi-Fi and private bathrooms, and there is a fitness centre and a spa. An 8.5 rating from more than 3,300 guests supports the stay.

Sea-view rooms, private beach, and a rooftop pool on Palm Jumeirah

Why guests love it

Tumbi Hotel Dubai The Palm gives families sea views and a private beach at a four-star level. Rooms list balconies and sea views, and the property lists family rooms, a rooftop pool, a sauna, a fitness centre and an international restaurant with varied dietary choices, useful when children or grandparents eat differently. A business area is also listed. I would ask for a sea-view family room early, and check pool hours for small children.

Beachfront luxury with an infinity pool and private beach on Palm Jumeirah

Why guests love it

Families should know what a studio means: one open room, so parents and children share the same space, and nothing in the listing mentions a cot, a kids' club or a children's pool. The beach access and infinity pool are attractive for a short stay with one small child, and free parking helps with a car seat and rental. For two or more children, I would choose a larger apartment or a resort on the Palm instead.

Local tips

  1. 1On West Beach, ask for a room on the sea side of the building: Ain Dubai and the Marina towers light up across the water at night, while the land side looks at the trunk's apartment blocks.
  2. 2At voco Dubai The Palm the guest beach is across the West Beach promenade, not under your balcony, and some guests mention noise from the neighbouring beach clubs at night: ask for a high floor.
  3. 3At Cheval Maison, reserve the Riva Beach Club pass through the hotel's front office before winter weekends, when residents fill the club's beach and its temperature-controlled pools.
  4. 4At The St. Regis, KYMA Beach Club works first come, first served for hotel guests, and listings mention an extra charge for bookings made after noon: ask the concierge in the morning.
  5. 5In July and August, use the beach before 9 am or after 5 pm: around midday the sand is too hot for bare feet and the hotel umbrellas are the only shade.
  6. 6The Dubai weekend has been Saturday and Sunday since 2022, and that is when the West Beach cafés and promenade are busiest; plan quiet beach mornings for weekdays.
  7. 7Bring a cover-up to walk from the sand to Nakheel Mall or the Golden Mile cafés: swimwear belongs on the beach and at the pool, not in malls.
  8. 8At Andaz Dubai The Palm, the adults-only cabana pool on the 14th floor is the quiet option when school holidays bring families to the beach-level pool.

Private Beach · FAQ

On this page, Andaz Dubai The Palm has its own beach on the eastern side of the trunk, and Andaz Family Suites is listed with a private beach too. On West Beach, Adagio Premium, voco and Mileo give guests reserved sunbeds on the sand, at voco across the public promenade. The St. Regis sends adults to KYMA Beach Club, Cheval Maison sells passes to Riva Beach Club, and for Tumbi I could only confirm the public beach in front. Outside this selection, NH Collection Dubai The Palm opens directly onto West Beach, but I could not confirm a beach reserved for its guests.
