Hotels in Mirdif
Mirdif is one of Dubai's older residential districts, in the east of the city directly south of Dubai International Airport. I would stay here to visit family who live in the area, for City Centre Mirdif, a mall of more than 400 shops and restaurants, or for walks and barbecues in Mushrif Park on its eastern edge, not for beaches or nightlife. The trap to know before booking: much of Mirdif sits under the flight path used by most take-offs and landings at DXB, so ask for a room away from the runway side if you sleep lightly. There is no metro station yet. The nearest is Centrepoint on the Red Line, formerly called Rashidiya, and bus F10 runs from its bus terminal to the mall's main entrance in about 13 to 15 minutes, roughly every 15 minutes. The walk takes around 20 minutes and is hard going in summer, with little shade. A dedicated Mirdif station is planned on the future Blue Line, around 2029. Come between November and March if you want Mushrif Park at its best.
