Our take
SO/ Uptown Dubai is a five-star hotel with extensive spa facilities, a fitness centre, a year-round outdoor pool, varied dining and rooms with city or lake views. I would recommend it to families, couples and business travellers who want a polished stay with free Wi-Fi and private parking. Its 8.7 rating from about 4,154 reviews is excellent. It is a tower hotel and not a beach resort, so travellers who want direct sand should look elsewhere.
