SUHA Bur Dubai
136 apartments up to three bedrooms on a residential Al Mankhool street, about 900 m from Sharaf DG metro
About this hotel
Al Mankhool is the residential grid of Bur Dubai behind Khalid bin Waleed Road, and that is the main reason to pick SUHA Bur Dubai: you sleep in a lived-in part of old Dubai rather than in a tower district. The 136 apartments come as studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom units, which makes the building workable for a family or a group sharing one apartment for a week or more. From Sharaf DG station, about 900 m away, the Green Line runs one stop to Al Ghubaiba and then under the creek to Al Ras and Gold Souk in Deira. In the other direction it is one stop to BurJuman, where you change to the Red Line for Downtown, Dubai Marina or Terminals 1 and 3 at DXB. The sea is not within walking distance, and Downtown is a metro ride with a change, not a stroll.
- 136 apartments: studios, one, two and three bedrooms
- Sharaf DG metro station (Green Line) about 900 m away
- Outdoor pool, children's pool and on-site gym
- About 11 km by road from Dubai International Airport
Our take
136 apartments, the largest with three bedrooms, is what sets SUHA Bur Dubai apart: a family or a group of friends can share one unit with a kitchen instead of booking three rooms. I would choose it for a week or longer in old Dubai, for work in Bur Dubai or Karama, or for a long family visit. I would not choose it for a beach holiday or a first short trip built around Downtown: both mean a metro ride with a change at BurJuman, or a taxi on busy roads. There is an outdoor pool with a separate children's pool and a gym, but this is an apartment building with hotel services, not a resort.
- ✓Search for the former name, Suha Mina Rashid Hotel Apartments, as well: several booking sites still list the property under it, at the same Al Mankhool address.
- ✓Sharaf DG, the nearest metro station, was called Al Fahidi until the RTA renamed it in 2020, so older maps and blog posts still use the old name.
- ✓From DXB Terminal 1 or 3, take the Red Line to BurJuman and change to the Green Line for one stop to Sharaf DG; Terminal 2 has no metro station.
- ✓The metro route from DXB still ends with a change at BurJuman and about 900 m on foot from Sharaf DG; with big suitcases or in summer heat, the hotel's paid transfer or a taxi saves that walk.
Why we love it
- Three-bedroom apartments with a kitchen, sized for a family or a group
- Green Line access to the Deira souks under the creek in a few stops
- A residential street in old Bur Dubai rather than a tower district
Why guests love itFor a family, the deciding factor here is the apartment size: a studio works for a couple with a baby, while the two- and three-bedroom units give children their own room and leave the living area free. Cots are provided on request, and the kitchen takes care of breakfasts and early dinners on hot days. Besides the outdoor pool there is a children's pool, but no slides: for those, a waterpark means a taxi or metro ride. Guest reviews, which give the property 8.6 from 1,053 ratings, praise the space and cleanliness; some mention a charge for early check-in, useful to know if you land on a morning flight. From June to September, do the walk to Sharaf DG station early or after sunset.
