About this hotel

Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa stands on Al Fahidi Street, directly opposite Al Fahidi Fort, the home of the Dubai Museum. The fort has been closed for restoration since 2021 and, as of September 2026, still had no confirmed reopening date, so for now you see it from the outside. The Creek-side promenade of Al Seef and the Bur Dubai abra station are within walking distance, and Sharaf DG metro station is about 500 metres away, on the Green Line to BurJuman, Union and Deira.

The hotel has 172 rooms, including 40 executive rooms and 20 suites, plus family rooms and rooms adapted for guests with reduced mobility. For downtime there is the hotel's Wellness Spa, a temperature-controlled pool, a fully equipped health club, a sauna and a Jacuzzi. Its 7.3 from around 800 guest reviews tells me to book it for the address and the old quarter on the doorstep, and to look elsewhere if the room itself is the point of the trip.

  • Opposite Al Fahidi Fort, home of the Dubai Museum
  • A short walk from the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood
  • About seven minutes on foot from Sharaf DG metro station, thirteen from Al Ghubaiba
  • Arabian-style rooms, a spa and an outdoor pool
  • Rated 7.3 from around 800 guest reviews

Our take

Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa faces Al Fahidi Fort, the oldest building in Dubai and home of the Dubai Museum, which puts the wind-tower lanes of the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and the Creek within walking distance. Sharaf DG metro station, the former Al Fahidi, is about seven minutes on foot, Al Ghubaiba about thirteen. Its 7.3 from around 800 guest reviews is modest, and I read it as a hotel you book for the address rather than for polish. I would choose it for a stay built on old Dubai, the souks and the abras; I would not choose it for a beach holiday or for a first trip centred on Downtown and the Burj Khalifa.

  • ✓Walk to Sharaf DG station, about seven minutes away, for the Green Line; older maps and some signs still call it Al Fahidi.
  • ✓Cross the Creek by abra from the Bur Dubai side to reach the Deira spice and gold souks, rather than taking a taxi through the tunnels.
  • ✓Al Fahidi Fort and the Dubai Museum have been closed for restoration since 2021, with no confirmed reopening date as of September 2026: check Dubai Culture before planning a morning there.
  • ✓In the Al Fahidi lanes, go early or after sunset from June to September: the quarter is outdoor and walking at midday is hard work.

Why we love it

  • Opposite Al Fahidi Fort, home of the Dubai Museum, closed for restoration since 2021
  • Sharaf DG metro station about 500 metres away, on the Green Line
  • Wellness Spa, temperature-controlled pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and health club
  • Family rooms and rooms adapted for reduced mobility among its 172 rooms
Why guests love it

For a family, Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa suits children who will enjoy the abras, the souks and the old quarter more than a pool-and-beach holiday. The outdoor pool gives a break between outings, but there is no beach or water park nearby: the public beaches of Jumeirah are a taxi ride away. The Green Line from Sharaf DG station, about seven minutes on foot, links to the Red Line at BurJuman for Dubai Mall. The 7.3 rating from around 800 reviews is a reminder to keep expectations on the room in line with the address.
